Less likely to get shot but more likely to be a victim of violent crime of all sorts. Take your pick. If you go to Canada you don't have to worry about having an insanely high medical bill, but if you go to the US at least you can get treated a bit faster. It's really a toss up. Just stay out of French Canada and any large US cities and your all good.

I'd like to see where you got that info from  ???

In short, you're not more likely to be a victim of crime of all sorts in Canada than in the US. It's all about you. If you're not doing criminal activities or illegal things, then either place is pretty much the same.

I'll agree on avoiding large US cities, it gets crazy during the nights, but there are some cities in Canada that get also pretty bad during the nights, Winnipeg for example.

Just stay out of French Canada
Why? I don't know any good reason for that. Montreal for example is a great place for anyone. There's a lot of work, and it's as safe as a little town.

All in All if I was from an other country Canada would be my choice. You don't need the "protection" ppl seems to need in the US, because there is no threat.

Ok boys and girls about criminal you can talk everywhere, here, there...it is sad but people kill each other cause stupid reason...If wanna talk about crime  it is a lot example and that can be in own topic....it is a few days in Italy jealous boy kill his ex girl with knife, shot her and on end burn her body-everyone for him say it was good quiet boy....so example of crime are not what I look here to put on topic....
I hope you will now put more fun things like; Canada is better because snow lasts longer then in USA...or USA is better because have Alaska state for petty cash taken from Russian   ;D
