Firslty I apologise for the fact that you are no longer allowed to post anywhere.

We have had a huge influx of spam adverts, some of which are completely inappropriate for some of the younger members (and indeed for some of our older more delicate members) so we have had to remove the ability for new members to post until permission has been granted.

It is a pain I know, but it is better this than spend my life deleting obscene posts and banning users. It shouldn't be a large disruption and I thank you for your patience.

Blaze. I get this same problem on my forums, but I found a better way to deal with it.

Make the registrations activate by admin, and add a new question on the registration screen - "Please post a link to the MFF website."

Works brilliantly for me, because the spambots usually post some stupid website in that box. I just delete those ones, and accept the users who post the right website.

Obviously on my forum I don't ask them to link here...
