Yeah, I agree with you Nisty, I tried defining the outline a bit more and it just looked rubbish, so I stuck with this.

Or a 1 pixel white stroke? that will seem sharper around the edges.. or white outer glow.. dunno :)

I hear ya :) What if... you duplicate layer.. 2 times and leave it like that.. dont move the duplicates.. that way you make it look a bit thicker ??

No its because I used a dark colour on a duplicate layer for the font to make it blend in to the background..... I wanted a combination of a kind of embossed/metallic/cloudy look to fit in with the background.... it just worked too well at blending in I guess.
