Target Signature Competition
« on: November 18, 2009, 10:49:29 am »
Ok lets get another competition going:

The Task: Create a signature for Target

The prize: Bragging rights and your sig displayed everytime the prolific poster bestows his pearls of wisdom on us!

Target will have to be the judge here I think and pick a winner from the submissions.

Shall we say a deadline of 1 week!?!?

What to say about Target....

He is very level headed.
He makes the most wonderful posts, he can take a rather mundane topic and set about relating a wonderfully crafted anecdote that have you crying one minute and then rolling on the floor laughing the next.
He is {OF} through and through (even true to the original squad name), Has been {CO} is now {GS}, has always been a rock for MFF and has been a great friend to many, myself included.

I don't know what else to say without making it sound like I am trying to kiss his butt.

Maybe he will jump in here with some suggestions as to what he would like included in his signature.

He is from Texas...

He doesn't like BS...

He is an excellent compliment-er...

He is methodical...

That's all I have for now :)

If target posts something like an idea or a theme he'd like then I might try and come up with something.

Well the sky is the limit guy's because I have no idea.  My name comes from exactly what it means, a target.  It did not matter what I tried to do in the server, I was always frozen.  So I decided to change my name to Target from PoohBear, which I did not even know that was the name I was playing with.

What else? I'm old!!  I like the size of your sig raz and I even like that sketch art.  What else? I like geometric shapes as sketches in pen and ink.  What else? geeez, I don't know!!!  Blaze you might be paying for this because I am drawing a blank!!!   lol

Oh, I think black and white and blue would work for the colors, but you don't have to be held to that, I don't knowwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!   lol

I thank you Blaze and Missy for your kind words and the rest of you are just going to have to give it a shot of creativity.

Thanks

Maybe... JUST maybe... we can talk Blaze into doing another scrolling sig for Target, like he did for BRO... and this can be more of a collection of sigs... that is of course solely based on Target's preferences.  :D

Target is unique because you would never guess he is from Texas because he puts up with me and he writes so well. I think the sig would be nothing if it didn't include the phrase "Gem of Texas" on it.

Looking good!!!

I've had a great idea for a sig for him and I think I will probably grow very old trying to pull it off!!

Here is my effort!!

Kind of stuck with black white and blue....

Geometric shapes, I know you have a technical/mechanical background so I thought cogs would be cool, After P.G had said about Texas, I had to include something to do with that and then it had a sort of historical feel to it so the font had to be calligraphic.

I even included a subtle target!! I want to dress it a little so its a work in progress...

i kinda feel like i'm at an art museum trying to understand the painter or the subject being painted. the spur gears show a certain symmetry yet convey continuity with a flow looking to the future. interesting, very interesting   ;D
