Patrick Swayze
« on: September 15, 2009, 02:35:12 pm »
I just found out this morning that Patrick Swayze passed away from his pancreatic cancer yesterday. This saddens me since I was a fan of his. He will always be remembered for his great movies. :(

RIP

I think Harrison Ford should kick the bucket, and end the Summer of Death so that THIS can be avoided.

True is I hated Dirty Dancing movie, except this awesome song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yfg97-5uhFQ
Then I saw Ghost movie and I was in Patrick's fan club
This year is really awful, we are losing so much talent  :'(

Liked him the first movie I saw with him in it. His interview with Barbara Walters earlier this year had this old man crying and wishing I had half his fortitude and his determination. RIP Patrick

 :D :D :D Nicely done Bevo!

Isn't it much nicer when a celebrity dies in a noncontroversial manner? Oh the days of natural deaths! Mourning without scandal. I read a little bio of Patrick Swayze and it made me realize how much integrity and dignity he really had. I admire him mostly for being a male dancer in ballet in Texas. That takes some serious courage.

Who are you kidding?!  Patrick Swayze was an undercover cop who got hooked on heroine.  This "cancer" is just a cover.

It's not a competition about who's death was the "best" so please let's not start any of that here. Nobody is better than anyone else. Thanks.

My son's middle name is Dalton, which was Patrick's name in Roadhouse.  Coincidence?  I think not.  That was one of my favorite movies at the time and he was one of my favorite actors (same with my ex-wife so it wasn't all my idea).  I can tell you that I shed tears the first time I saw the movie "Ghost".  If you didn't, you should have your tear ducts checked.  I regret that Patrick Swayze has passed away at such a young age (57).  I know to some of you teenagers and 20ish people, that might not seem very young but it truly is.

When do you cry in Ghost?  I mean it's a good movie...
