Since there are still a few left in MFF who might like to know that our first month in Japan has gone by and that we are doing well, I thought I would just stop by and say hi. I haven't found too many Japanese COD4 servers and I haven't found any except for maybe one where I have a ping of much below 150. We just got internet at home so I have only been playing online for a couple days. I kept up though by playing the single player game in veteran mode and collecting the pieces of intel of which I have only found 19 so far (just started that). I shipped my desktop but I was having issues with it crashing especially when I played COD4. I thought my video card got screwed up but I reset my overclocked CPU to the default settings and that stopped. It's nice to have this computer though. I don't know what I would do without it.
We will be buying a car soon so that will give us more mobility than our bikes currently do. We can see Mt. Fuji from our place on clear days so that is always a nice thing. Since I am the cook in the family going to the grocery store has been the biggest adventure I think. It's so different and I had absolutely no idea that it was going to be this hard to figure out what I'm buying and then to have to make it. We have had a lot of different foods and one of the worst ones for me was just recently. It was a pasta dish with a sauce made with a tiny fish egg topped with raw squid and nori strips (nori is the seaweed sheets used for wrapping sushi). I had had raw squid before at a sushi restaurant but it had been slightly warmed by the pasta giving it an even slimier and fishier taste. Of course the nori strips taste fishy as well as the sauce a bit. The fishy taste is not a good one to me.
I know that's not much but I can't very well write everything. It's time for bed now so oyasuminasai!
