*XFIRE SHUT DOWN NOTICE*

On Saturday, May 31, Gamespy will be shutting down their master server for Medal of Honor Allied Assault. While the time of using Gamespy to join servers has come and gone, many popular server query tools like X-Fire, HLSW, GameTracker and even the MOHAA In Game Browser still use the Gamespy master server list to query all online servers.

This shut down will mean that we will not be able to use the in game browser, x-fire, hlsw, or many other popular server query tools to join the game. There is a work around that will allow us to view all of the servers that are online, much like the in game browser currently does, but it requires that you download an application called the Reborn Query Tools.

Here is a link to the server browser that will show all of the servers. You will have to download this and run it like you would run Gamespy or X-Fire. It will act like the in game browser but will only allow you to view the IP addresses of the servers that are either using the reborn patch, or have been manually entered.

If you have any questions, let me know. Please try to make sure everyone reads this post so that they are not left in the dark on May 31st.

It seems like the xNull website is down at the moment.

I've added it to my website so you can download it here: http://mohaaul.com/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=1

Yep, that was supposed to happen on May 31st, then got pushed to June 30th...but server browser seems to still be working even today.  I'm not sure what's going on, maybe some geek with money opted to keep it alive because tehre's a LOT of games that would have been affected, certainly not just MOHAA (and the whole MOH franchise - maybe not the new MOH game though - not sure).  Anyway, the reborn server browser does work but the server has to be running Reborn and be added to that list.  I've used the browser and it works similarly to the MOHAA in-game browser.  Easy to use for clients, anyways.
