Omaha Beach or Remegen in rotation?
« on: November 18, 2009, 02:32:14 am »
I know I'm the new guy here but I was just wondering, there are a few maps I'd love to see in rotation Omaha being the main one, Remegen would be pretty nice too but I won't push it :)

I bet this would be alot of fun rifles only. Omaha Beach used to always be a crowd favorite much like Stalingrad.  I miss playing on this map, used to be my favorite in Sniper Only Servers.  Oh well just a thought!

Thanks,

Hollowpoint

Omaha occasionally does get called up by an admin in the evening. I think the reason it's not in the rotation normally is the fact that it's not FT and it's hard to play with only 4 players.

It is a very long map too, people get bored of it quite quickly.

If you would like it played, just ask an admin to switch it to Omaha =)

Remagen just ends up a spawnkilling frenzy, i like it personally (the map, not the spawnkilling) but I doubt it will become part of the rotation.

Put it to a vote and see what the outcome is.

yes both are very fun maps but not for FT, I used to change them over to those when the MFF population was restless and people enjoyed it but only once in a while.

my name is OBI!!!

I think the problem with Omaha is, as one guest pointed out last week, nearly impossible for the allies, and it gets kinda tiresome. Its alot of fun every now and then.

Ramgen, is like blaze said, spawn killing central

We have just been discussing making Remagen a KOTH map, so spawnkilling won't be an issue and it seems to have proven quite popular on the Algiers map so watch this space =)

I could see where Omaha could be considered too big, especially if the server wasn't very full, I guess because I haven't seen it in action as a FT map, If I did I might have a different opinion about it. :)

I also can see where Remagen would be ripe for spawnkilling.  Look forward to seeing that one KOTH map thought great idea!!!!

Thanks,

Snowy Park gets the most complaints of any map, people with computers that are less than top notch get very poor fps on it and complain about it being very laggy. I personally have Snowy park down as one of my favourite maps.

Customs server is probably the best place to play snowy park as try asking on the main server and 80% upwards will say no.

is it the snow that lags this map? because i have seen this map without the snow in other servers and seemed to play fine.
