Aug. 28th MFF Turns 8 yrs old

On Aug. 28th MFF will be 8 Yrs Old. On the home page I have put a message that BigRed wrote a few years ago on the History of MFF and how it all started. For those of you that are new take some time to read it, those that have been here since day 1 re-read it will bring back the memories.

I have wrote my own little take on why I am here.

Although this is just an online game MFF it is more than that, it is a community of people that have come together where many friendships have been formed. I have been in MFF since 2006 when Yogi asked me to join. 3 years ago our Founder BigRed asked if I would become his Deputy Clan Leader and keep MFF alive. Here I am 3 years later as the Clan Leader. I have met some amazing people in here and have had many laughs and even cried. I met 2 people from MFF in person who no longer play, I saw this person in the hospital right after he was paralyzed from the neck down when a car hit him on his motorcycle. Although I was someone he only knew online he layed there and laughed when telling stories about MFF along with his girl by his side with her big smile and laughter. That was GodsMessenger & JoJo.

This is just one example of why I continue to come here, another is which actually brought a tear to me. I opened up a letter I received from a 13 yr old Junior member one day after they joined, they were so happy to become part of MFF. "Hey Papa, I have saved up enough money to donate to MFF" and there was $20.

I can go on and on about just about everyone one that I have met here and believe me when I say there are hundreds that have come through here. Share a story or 2 why you keep coming back.

Like Papa, I have seen so many people come and go. I have been in MFF since 2005. The reason why I stay is because it is like a second family to me. We laugh, cry, bicker about things we all do. Some of us may get along with someone else more than others do, but when it comes down to it, we all have each others backs. When my dad was sick with cancer and eventually passed away, everyone was there praying for me and my family. I even got some cards that Yogi gave me from some of the guys, which to this day I still have. It really means a lot to me knowing that MFF has been there for me through the good and bad.

That's my story. Hope everyone can share theirs as well.

Joined MFF about the same time Papa did and was also recruited by Yogi. Like Papa, I have many good memories of some special people who are no longer with MFF or whereabouts unknown. There's one that will always stand out in my mind and I think about him alot, and that would be ICEMAN, one of the bravest people I know. He would have you laughing so hard in TS some days and some days you'll have tears in your eyes from him telling you the news he got from his Doctors. Another good memory was when this little "you's a noobs" kid named Little One started coming on TS and asked Papa and I what it takes to join MFF, Papa told him he would have to beat me and him in a scrim, lol, and he tried, lol. Seen many good people come and go through the clan and still talk to alot when I see them on the server. Like Oc said, I've seen many folks here bond and support members when something wasn't good in their private lifes, seen members support Jrs and adults alike when they are going to school, college, armed forces, new jobs, etc. This may surprise some of you, lol, but before I was a member I remember Big Red banned me one day in the server, I left the clan for a few months and like the once Bear Bryant said "Mama called" and I had to rejoin. There's to many more memories and good people to talk about to post here but I'll cut it off here and say there's no other clan I'd go to. Happy B'day MFF

I continue coming here because like Oca said .... it's like a family to me ... love being here ... love the community ... having fun .. making new friends from different countries ...

8 years old? Man the time has passed. I remember when I was like 12 or 13 and wanted to become an MFF junior as soon as I entered the server. I remember Papa and Highlander used to make fun of my voice since it was so high-pitched. Good times huh? I have a lot of memories with this clan that are very important to me. I even remember when MFF allowed the privilege of being a Junior DI. Being allowed to do that was pretty big at 14 or 15 years old for me at least. This community also helped me through times of need, like when I went into kidney failure a couple years back and everyday I logged on, at least someone asked how I was doing. I want to thank people like Papa and Cookie for always being there and also for keeping the clan alive. I learned a lot from you old noobs.

Congrats MFF, it is well deserved!

    I had been in many clans before I came to MFF. Every clan I joined crumbled within a month of me joining. To be honest I felt like a jinx. For 2 years I played clanless, just floating from server to server. Then I found MFF. It was the first Rifles only server I had ever seen. It was also the first Freeze Tag server I had seen. The only two maps I regularly played was V2 and Omaha, so some of these maps were kinda new to me. I continued to get better with the rifle, and also started to figure out what the frozen locations were. I was hooked on this server. After playing here for a few months, someone started watching me in spec. His name was Alystr. He asked me to come to spec with him. He asked me if I was interested in joining MFF. More importantly, was I interested in being in SBD. I was excited for the oppurtunity.

    Over the years I have have my ups and downs with people in the clan. I have seen a lot of people come and go, as we all have. This is my home, for good or bad. I have been in MFF going on four years now. Here's hoping to at least 4 more.
